The West Marin Swimming & Recreation Center

A West Marin swimming pool has been a long-held dream, with several Bolinas groups exploring it since the 80s. Beyond swimming, Bolinas and Stinson Beach lack any kind of indoor recreation facility. The community centers have managed to serve some of the need, but their spaces are not suitable for a broad range of physical activity.

Over the past two years, Mesa Park has been exploring the need for a dedicated facility and developing a strategic plan for building and operating a Swimming & Recreation Center.

What has never happened, and what we are attempting to do now, is to reach a conclusive community decision through a ballot vote about whether or not we truly want to build and operate a pool.
